The foundation
  • Founded in Felsenhof

First orders and expansion

  • First steam boiler at Hauptwil Cheesery
  • First feeding station at Edliswil Cheesery


1982
CH representative Big Dutchman (D) for feeding controls 
  • Expansion in the areas of steam boiler systems and pig feeding systems

 First mobile steam plant
  • Development of the first mobile steam plant



1994
Inauguration of the new building
  • The Aerni company moves into the new building at Brüelstrasse 8 in Waldkirch.


1998
Introduction of the first CNC machines
 
2000

Generational change and reorganisation

  • Takeover of the company by daughter and son-in-law (Hansjörg Müller)
  • Introduction of the Profit Centre Organisation with a focus on agriculture, industry and manufacturing.

Realignment and focussing

  • Takeover of the Aerni company by Jan Siegmund and Levin Schmid
  • Strategic reorientation: closure of the agricultural technology division
  • Focus on core competences:
    • Steam plant construction with comprehensive service business
    • Contract manufacturing of assemblies
    • CNC manufacturing

    Aerni AG has developed from a small repair business into a modern, specialised company in machine and plant construction. We are proud of our local roots and continue to focus on the highest quality and excellent service.
